Road Map / how to come:

passing Cumbuco after 6 km you have to follow to the right the CE 085 highway. On the crossing you need to head to the right in direction Paracuru on the street CE 341. After 14 km you reach Paracuru. In Paracuru you keep right and cross three streets and then you head left on the next crossing and follow the street between the dunes – on the following crossing you go right and after 3 km you reach the Barraca (single Barraca) on the left side.

Paracuru is located about 70 km far away from Cumbuco on the west side and is one of the best and most interesting wave spots of Ceara. The spot is limited by fishermen fences on the west side and a reef on the east side. Some hundreds meters away from the beach you can find nice waves which can reach 2 m if you have a good swell. Within the reef you can find flat water or chop depending on low tide and high tide. De facto on the spot you can go kiting to each time. The best conditions are low tide and between ebb tide. During tide you still can enjoy the waves but the flat water within the spot can be very rough because the waves are going over the reef. Keep security distance from the fishermen fences and watch out for rocks directly under the water front during low tide (most of them can be seen normally). Outside of the waves area you can see sea turtles from time to time. On the beach you will find a Barraca where you can get fresh sea food and cooled drinks. There you can also take freshwater showers. The wind in Paracuru is coming steadily from side shore to slightly side onshore.
