Cross the village heading to the east in direction of the sea until you reach the lagoon.
The river Rio Choro leads into the Atlantic where it forms a shallow flat water lagoon. Inland to the east the river is limited with mangroves and the western part through the village "Barra Nova". The passable area of the lagoon has a sandy beach to both sides. With low tide the lagoon is very small and shallow and it arises actually with high tide. The off shore sand banks emerged preliminary by the river block the swell and build small standing waves where you can kite through on the open sea. It is possible to cross the lagoon with car on a small ferry ("Balsa"). The price one way is 10 R$ for a Pickup.
