Road Map / how to come:
get on the CE 085 direction to Paracuru. At the branch line to Paracuru go straight ahead following the CE 085 further 37 km and then straight on to the CE 163 direction Trairi. From Trairi you head to Flexeiras and Mundau turning left after 9 km to Mundau. In the village keep left until you reach a paved road leading to the river basin, where you can also pass the river by a motorized ferry.
Mundau is a small fisherman village with an extended and spacious beach. At tide the water reaches almost the Barrachas located close to the shore. Conditioned by the extremely shallow and far inside the Atlantic passing beach you will find almost flat water with powerful wind conditions. At low tide you should be on guard because of the about 200 m outside located rocks.
The real spot is placed inside the delta of the river Rio Mundau. The river is proceeding to the sea fulfilling a kink coming from the west.
At tide the slue is filled with water covering the normally visible sandbars. At low tide you can kite more inside the river surrounded by impressive scenery of mangroves and palm trees.
Directly at the mouth to the sea you will find a standing wave according to the tide that breaks relatively chaotic like at most spots of Ceara
